Helsinki Center of Economic Research (HECER), launched in 2004, is a joint initiative of the University of Helsinki, the Aalto University School of Business and the Hanken School of Economics. HECER and the three economics units of the participating universities are located in the Economicum building in the very center of Helsinki. HECER also organizes the Finnish Doctoral Programme in Economics (FDPE).
