Admission to FDPE FDPE (Finnish Doctoral Programme in Economics) is not a degree granting programme in itself, but a joint programme of all the 11 Departments of Economics in Finland. Thus, to be able to enrol for FDPE the student first needs admission at doctoral level to one of the departments of economics in the participating universities, economics as a major. The individual departments are basic units of education, recruiting the doctoral students and being responsible for granting degrees and registering grades according to their own requirements. FDPE gives the students, on request, a certificate of the courses passed within the programme. Registration form 2010-2011 will be added here in August 2010. Doctoral students in economics should register for FDPE for every academic year. Doctoral students not enrolled at FDPE, including students in foreign universities, are able to attend individual courses and seminars. See below How to apply for the FDPE courses and How to apply for the FDPE seminars. See also Instructions for prospective and current PhD students.
